Allah has created us for His worship which is performed in different ways for different people. Some people are poor & are able to work for eating Halal rizq, for them it is worship. And some people have been given enough for this Dunya, for example an employee, so he is needed to be exerting his efforts in other forms of worship, such as fard-e-kafayah (communal responsibility).
Allah talks about Luxuries of saba in surah Saba (chapter 34).
Allah gave them two gardens with river flowing between them. By the time , they forgot Allah and started to neglect Him. Not only did they neglect Allah, but they also made non-sense supplication as well which is
" Oh Allah made our journeys long"
What it represents, when they is no other purpose of life than this, people will seek insane engagement.
If there is no purpose of living than Just living & cutting of this Dunya [ as we mostly take is] then when Allah gives us sufficient for this dunya, it makes our life out of purpose and we start engaging ourselves in wrong things. As people of Saba were bestowed , they were destroyed by Allah's wrath.
We have to seek Good always in this life by thanking Allah for that which He has given us & need to seek more (help & other things) in order to work for his religion.
Many people, you might have seen, wasting time in engaging themselves making houses and other buildings which are not that needed to them and hence they de-priortise their worship.
Many young people fall into wrong relationships, i think it is because they aren't feeling anything special to give their time.
Perhaps hence Allah loves simple life because a man gets enough time to worship and please his Lord Almighty Allah.
